Whistleblower Policy

1. Purpose
Friends of St. Anne’s is committed to operating with high standards of ethics and compliance. This policy is designed to enable volunteers, board members, and committee members to report concerns regarding illegal activities or ethical violations without fear of retaliation.

2. Reporting Responsibility

It is the responsibility of all board members and volunteers to report concerns about violations of law or organizational policies, including fraudulent accounting, improper use of assets, or noncompliance with regulations.

3. No Retaliation

No director, officer, or volunteer who in good faith reports a violation shall suffer harassment, retaliation, or adverse consequence. Any volunteer or board member who retaliates against someone who has reported a violation in good faith is subject to discipline, including removal from the board or volunteer position.

4. Reporting Procedure
Reports should be submitted in writing to the Board President or, if the report involves the Board President, to another designated board member.

5. Investigation
The designated board member is responsible for investigating all reported complaints. The board will take corrective action if necessary to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

6. Confidentiality
Reports of violations or suspected violations will be kept confidential to the extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation.
